| AUTOBROKERS
Purchasing a new or pre-owned Automobile - Truck - SUV
Motorcycle and Recreational Vehicle, using a broker.
Looking for new car, truck, SUV, motorcycle or
recreation vehicle? New car dealers these days are plentiful
and very competitive. An alternative to buying thru a
showroom dealer is a licensed automobile broker. Many
brokers utilize the Internet to display their vehicles instead of
a car lot. Most carry a limited in- ventory, but have access
to any type of car or truck. However, because overhead expenses
are less, auto brokers are in a position to save con- sumers a big
hunk of cash on their next motor vehicle pur- chase. Auto
brokers, like auto dealers do differ in their buying operations,
financing and fee structures.
Some auto broker/ dealers can save their
customers a great deal of pocket change on pre-owned vehicles,
especially those Toyota Camry's coming in off executive leases.
Typically, brokers like the Roy Richard Auto Group in San Diego,
CA., charge clients a flat service fee ($300- $500) to purchase a
vehicle from a local auction. In most customers have a
chance to look at the vehicle the day be fore the auction sale.
"My clients give me the price range they want to pay and then
we start looking for the best deals," said Roy Richard,
president of the Roy Richard Auto Group.
On average he says he get most vehicles for his
clients a couple of thousand dollars below wholesale
bluebook.
